History |
Hinterland is a road transport forwarding agent, founded in Le Havre on 1st August 1996.
3 years later, a second branch was opened on the Montoir de Bretagne site.
At the time it ran a fleet of fifty owner-operators.
In 2004, Hinterland moved to Brest, acquiring Transports Le Bras Lavanant. Now that it owned its own lorries, Hinterland was able to manage its resources even more efficiently.
2007 was a key year in Hinterland’s development, as two new branches were opened: one in Marseille in April to serve the PACA region, and a second in October, in Bordeaux, to add to its national network.
With nearly 34,000 containers transported in 2009 and with a presence on three of France’s coastlines, Hinterland has become a key partner to international sea freight logistics firms.
Hinterland is proud to reinforce the local service offer it proposes to its customers by focusing its strategy on locations with a regional connotation: Normandy, Brittany, Atlantic, Aquitaine and Mediterranean.
